The Nike SB Dunk High 'Washington' (2012) is a standout from Nike SB’s “Regional Pack,” celebrating the diverse subcultures and state pride of the United States. Released exclusively in select skate shops in the Pacific Northwest, this edition pays homage to Washington State with a muted yet compelling palette inspired by the region’s natural landscapes, cool climate, and iconic rainy weather.
Overview
The 'Washington' Dunk High features a layered combination of textured materials and tones that evoke the lush forests and overcast skies of the Pacific Northwest. A rugged black suede base sets the tone, complemented by dark olive leather overlays that resemble moss-covered evergreens. A contrasting cool grey Swoosh cuts through the upper, while a vibrant varsity red on the outsole and tongue tag adds a punch of energy—an intentional nod to the University of Washington's sporting heritage. Subtle yet powerful, this pair embodies the utilitarian spirit of the region, supported by a Zoom Air unit in the heel for skate-ready cushioning. Initially released as a regional exclusive, its limited distribution and unique inspiration have made it a coveted collector’s item in the Nike SB lineup.
